Lake Burton Club, a private North Georgia club and community, has named RE/MAX of Rabun as broker of developer-owned properties, including new homes and home sites.

A 350-acre gated community overlooking Lake Burton in the Blue Ridge Mountains of north Georgia, Lake Burton Club offers homes and home sites with golf, mountain and lake views, or all three. Its tee-to-green bentgrass golf course was listed as “one of the five ‘Best of the Best’ private golf courses in Georgia” by Georgia Golf News.

RE/MAX of Rabun Owner-Broker Ed Poss has marketed homes in Rabun County for nearly 45 years. He will lead a team of select agents specifically trained in presenting the homes and amenities of Lake Burton Club from sales offices in the community and around Lake Burton.

“Ed Poss is a recognized authority on real estate on Lake Burton and throughout Rabun County,” said Buddy Parrish, general manager of Lake Burton Club. “His 40-year-old brokerage company has three offices on Lake Burton itself, and we believe his representation will drive our sales of primary and vacation homes and home sites.”

Stream-fed Lake Burton, a 2,700-acre body of water with 62 miles of shoreline, is owned and managed by Georgia Power. It is a refuge for leading executives, business owners, and sports and entertainment figures, many of whom live in Atlanta.

“Lake Burton Club has the finest amenities in the area,” Poss said, “as well as some of the most prominent homes and most stunning views.”

In addition to its championship golf course, Lake Burton Club offers its members an athletic center with indoor swimming and tennis, fully equipped fitness center, exercise/yoga studio, and European spa. The Lodge, a stone and timber clubhouse sitting at 2,700 feet, houses a fine dining room with covered outdoor dining porch, fireside lounge with full bar, private event rooms, kids’ activity room, and 24-seat movie theater.

Lake Burton Club this year introduced a new collection of Arts & Crafts-styled cottage homes viewing the golf course and surrounding Chattahoochee National Forest. “The new cottages deliver a luxury mountain lifestyle in which landscaping and other outdoor services are provided by the community,” said Parrish.
